More About Abby:

Before her prefrontal cortex developed, Abby received a degree in design from a small college in rural Ohio. She quickly realized two things; She couldn’t handle life in the cornfields and she wasn’t a designer at heart. It didn’t take long for Abby to make the change to writing and city living, spending over a decade working in large and small advertising agencies.

Like many people, Abby re-evaluated her lifestyle and hobbies during the COVID-19 pandemic. A love for cooking turned into a dedication to make more food from scratch. An interest in sustainability turned into composting and upcycling. When Abby and her husband moved to Michigan, they prioritized supporting small businesses, consuming local produce, and curating a ‘resilience garden’ at home.

Abby’s commitment to sustainability and mindful consumption has extended into life’s latest chapter: Parenthood. Abby welcomed her daughter, Kay, in December of 2025, and has been figuring out how to balance non-toxic choices with new demands. Abby hopes sharing her experiences through writing can help other parents in their own non-toxic journeys.
