๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ Non-Toxic Athletic Wear & Organic Cotton Workout Clothes

When it comes to activewear, many people are haven’t really thought about the fact that most of their workout clothes are made of plastic.

While these materials offer the stretch and durability needed for exercise, they also come with hidden risks to both your health and the environment. Synthetic fabrics can contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals like BPA, which can be absorbed through your skin—especially when you’re sweating. Moreover, the dyes and finishes used in these clothes could include harmful substances, further exacerbating the problem.

Unfortunately, even popular options like activewear made from recycled plastic bottles aren’t necessarily a safer or more sustainable choice. These fabrics still shed microplastics and may leach toxic chemicals. While 100% natural and plastic-free activewear is hard to come by, transitioning to brands that use natural and organic fabrics like cotton, wool, or TENCEL can help reduce your exposure to these toxic chemicals. It’s all about making informed choices—gradually phasing out synthetic workout gear for healthier alternatives when possible.
