More about Jeanne:
As a lifelong learner and educator, Jeanne is dedicated to promoting non-toxic living and goes to great lengths to maintain pure air, water, and food for her family (and yours!). When it comes to researching and writing content for The Filtery, Jeanne excels at consumer research, often delving into the minds of customer service representatives to uncover lesser-known facts about products and share them with concerned readers.
Jeanne holds a Master’s Degrees in both Chemistry and Instructional Systems Development (ESL) from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Applied Ethics from Colorado State University. She is currently working on another Master’s in Environmental Science from Oregon State University.
She has been a Peace Corps volunteer in secondary science, a public school teacher, and an instructor at several community colleges. She has homeschooled her children for 12 years, using environmental education as a guiding principle. Since 2005, Jeanne has been a part-time Research Director with a non-profit organization educating the public about the environmental impacts of food choices.
