While on your low-tox lifestyle journey, have you ever just thought: “I don’t have time to do all this research—can someone just tell me what to buy already?!”
That’s exactly why I made this Swift Swaps Spreadsheet. 💁♀️ No label comparing, no 50 tabs open, no googling long ingredients and reading scientific papers.
Just my favorite products (backed by research).
Here’s what’s on my Super Swaps Spreadsheet (which is free to access, btw):
- 100+ product categories
- Just the TOP TWO specific brands to choose from
- Discount codes
- Links to deeper dives (if you DO decide you want to read more about the topic or find a longer list of brands to choose from)
📬 Enter your email and I’ll send it right to your inbox.

Wish Someone Would Just Tell You What Non-Toxic Swaps To Make?
Learning about the world of non-toxic living is exciting, a little bit exhilarating and, if we’re being honest… incredibly exhausting.
It can feel like you’re being asked to overhaul not only every product you use, but also the entire way your daily routines are set up!
A quick trip to the grocery store becomes panic-city as you stare down a wall of toothpaste, paralyzed by ingredient labels and unsure of what’s safe for your family.
To top it off, the information around non-toxic products is, well, far from straightforward. It often requires looking into multiple sources, navigating nuanced data, and piecing the information together.
The existing narrative either contains sweeping generalizations (designed to either fear monger or deny reality), or is so super in-depth that it’s hard to actually make practical changes.
While we may be guilty of providing in-depth information here at The Filtery, that’s because I believe information is empowerment. I never want you to buy something because I said so, but rather because you think it’s the right choice for you and your family.
Still… sometimes you simply don’t have the time. You need to find something—whether that’s a safer toothpaste, baby lotion, or all-purpose cleaner—ASAP.
Which is why I made the Super Swaps spreadsheet!
I’ve skipped all of the in-depth info about what ingredients to avoid and what materials to look for instead and JUST given you my top 2 brands for each product (with discount codes to save you some money).
What’s In This Non-Toxic Living Guide?
Pretty much everything! But let me break it down.
Categories included in this guide to swaps for non-toxic living & home:
- Cleaning supplies
- Bedroom
- Furniture
- Kitchen
- Bathroom & personal care (including period products)
- Cosmetics
- Kids & Baby
- Wardrobe
- Pets
- Outdoor Living & Hobbies
- Holiday & Seasonal
- Food & Drink
- Miscellaneous
- Marketplaces
This sheet is a tool for you to use in whatever way makes sense for you.
- If you want to shop directly from my recommendations and this sheet, you absolutely can.
- If you want to use it as a starting point or learn more about any topic, I’ve linked corresponding articles we’ve written at The Filtery.
I’ve listed product categories, no more than 2 brands per product, discount codes when possible, and options to learn more when possible.
Obviously we have hundreds of articles at The Filtery, so when creating this simplified and easy list, I kept 3 things in mind:
- Clean ingredients & materials
- User perspective/experience (myself and the rest of The Filtery contributors are always testing out products!)
- Accessibility and affordability
I do add to this sheet every month so it’s constantly being updated. Keep checking back in, but don’t worry: you won’t need to redownload it to get the updates.
Is Switching To All Non-Toxic Products Worth It?
I can’t tell you what is or is not worth your time, energy and money… and I never will.
That’s not why I started The Filtery.
But the truth is we know everyday exposures to plastics, pollutants, endocrine disruptors, pesticides, and more, have a direct impact on our long-term health.
I actually began The Filtery after I was diagnosed with a mold illness (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, or CIRS). Even though mold is the cause of the illness, I became highly sensitive to other things such as fragrance and smoke, which majorly changed the products I buy and how I live my life.
This is why I eventually combined my background experience in sustainability and personal wellness to create a resource that I hope helps you decrease environmental toxins in your home as well.
While so many things are outside of our control, small changes really can make a big difference. I’ve not only seen it in my own life, but studies reflect that as well.
I always advocate to do what you can and focus on the products you use regularly.
Not everything needs to be swapped at once. Start with what you use every day or what comes in contact with your food, water, and skin. Think:
- Filtered drinking water over organic bed sheets
- Glass food storage over a new couch (especially if you meal prep)
- Stainless steel water bottle over fancy napkins
The stuff that matters most is the stuff you’re actually using on a daily basis.
This spreadsheet helps you prioritize without the guesswork, so you can make swaps that fit your life and budget.
Your Low-Tox Life Just Got Easier
I have plenty of them, but you probably don’t need another 3,000-word deep dive right now. You need real, actionable solutions.
This spreadsheet gives you exactly that.
It’s filled with curated swaps I actually use and recommend, organized by room and need.
Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been at this for years, having vetted options at your fingertips means less decision fatigue and more progress.
